It has been a looong time...

Several years ago, I started this blog in the hopes of maintaining an ongoing chronicle of my campaign, but have obviously failed at this and, in fact, just realized I still had a blog by mistake.

Oh well.

Let me explain...

No, let me sum up...

In the past two years many characters have died in vain, trying to become rich in the Border Princes. A few have even survived to become heroes of a sort, at least to some.

First among these is Cynyr, a powerful Illusionist, who has allied himself with Y'Velle in exchange for a parcel of land on which to build a tower. Cynyr is quite well versed in the most practical applications of Shadowmancy, although his constant use of energy from the Plane of Shades has made him furtive, vain, and somewhat selfish. He seeks to retire in peace, but the constant foils of Prince Dieter have made him determined to crush Dieter if he can. Even now, Cynyr is marching with an army led by Y'Velle to put to task Prince Dieter and his force of mercenaries. A large battle is about to take place that will determine who rules this (remote) area of the Border Princes for (hopefully) the next few years!

Meanwhile...

Aimoc, Barbarian Prince of the defeated Quellan tribes, traveled Southwards to rescue his tribesmen that were captured and sold into slavery by the forces of Prince Dieter. Leading an adventuring party containing a Raven Knight of Morr, an Amethyst Mage, a half-elven Bard, as well as numerous and sundry henchmen and hirelings, they have raided into the lost city of Highport, long fallen to evil men and goblinoids. In the city, they stole their way into the Slave Pits of the Undercity, an area controlled by the Slave Lords. Here finding evidence of much evil, as well as Skaven and (strangely) many dopplegangers, Aimoc pledged himself to destroying all slavers and killing the Slave Lords or to to die in the effort. Tactical skill, stealth, and some magical aid finally brought the slavers low in the slave pits, and the party has pushed their advantage by tracking a slave caravan into the desert hills to the North of Highport. Here they have come across a fortified area where the slave caravans stop to rest and gain supplies. They watch the area from afar, hoping to learn The Secret of the Slaver's Stockade...
